This Barista-Essentials water filter is suitable for espresso machines with their own water supply hose. Below you can read how to install it correctly in your machine.

How to install this water filter

Installing this water filter is simple:

1. Remove the filter from the packaging
2. Attach the filter to the water supply hose of your espresso machine
3. Fully submerge the filter
4. Switch the machine on briefly to let it draw in some water
5. After about 1.5 hours, the water filter is saturated and ready for use

Protecting your espresso machine from limescale

Limescale can significantly shorten the lifespan of your machine and affect the taste of your espresso. To prevent this, it is important to replace your water filter on time and descale your machine regularly (every 3 months) using an espresso machine descaler.

This water filter lasts for approximately 30 litres of water or 400 cups of coffee. Replace it at least once every 3 months. If you use your machine frequently, we recommend replacing the water filter more often.
